Living the yogi life is being in tune with the true self.
As we become aware that we are one with the universe, we are all part of the same. Like a drop of ocean water in the ocean.
Yoga is the path to get to the truth within. Allow me to guide you through it while walking together.
Paola de Souza
Founder & Yogi
From early childhood I knew that my path in life was related to helping others. I have always been passionate about art, nature, animals, the environment and trying to make people’s life happier and healthier. From Psychology to Art Therapy, I have been helping individuals, children and families to feel content, fulfilled, overcome obstacles, fight their own demons and to find their own path in life.
Several years ago, I found Yoga. My excellent teachers thought me that yoga is about listening to your body and allowing it to go where it needs to go; that Yoga is not about forcing but about allowing. I started my practice very slowly and continue to do so always listening to my body messages, respecting its own time and needs. Yoga complemented my life perfectly, almost as if it was meant to be. Yoga helped me with my constant back pain and my very frequent and intense migraines. It also helped me reduce the edges of life, the fears, the anxiety, the frustration. It helped me to tackle challenging situations with an open and calm mind, look for more healthy results, appreciate the good things I have and understand that everything is meant to be the way it is.
I am originally from Argentina and I speak English and Spanish. I am a RYT-200 Yoga Teacher and a certified Kidding Around Yoga teacher as well. I am constantly continuing my Yoga education by taking Yoga courses, seminars, workshops and studying the ancient texts.
Accepting what you can't change and changing what you can't accept. Everything happens for a reason. You are reading this today because it was meant to happen and somehow it will change you. You are here for a reason. Yoga opens your eyes in a way that you can never see life the same way again. It transforms you from within. I decided to become a Yoga teacher to spread all these benefits to individuals, families and children. Allow me to teach you what I know and let’s make this world a better place together.
Namaste.
Benefits of Yoga
Yoga heals your body, your mind and your soul. Some of the countless benefits are:
Increases Flexibility & Balance
One of the most obvious benefits of yoga is the lengthening and loosening of the muscles and the connective tissue (such as fascia) of the body. Yoga can improve flexibility and mobility and increase the range of motion. Over time, the ligaments, tendons and muscles lengthen, increasing elasticity.
Promotes Healthy Eating Habits
Mindful eating is being present in the moment while eating by paying attention to the taste, smell and texture of your food and noticing any thoughts, feelings or sensations you experience while eating. Because Yoga encourages mindfulness it helps to promote mindful eating and healthy eating habits.
Builds Muscle Tone & Strength
Yoga uses every single muscle in your body, increasing strength literally from head to toe. Specific poses are designed to increase upper body strength, endurance and weight loss. Regular Yoga practice can relieve muscular tension throughout the whole body. Strong muscles work to protect the body and keep it free from injury.
Decreases Stress and Relieves Anxiety
Yoga is known for its ability to ease stress and promote relaxation. Practicing yoga can lead to a decrease in symptoms of anxiety because it emphasizes the importance of being present in the moment and finding a sense of peace.
Improves your Posture & Breathing
By building strength and flexibility within the body, you create a more aligned stacking of your bones in their natural and intended positioning. This makes the load of your body weight much easier for the muscles to bear (creating less tension, tightness and strain), improving your ability to breathe fully and deeply.
Enhances Quality of Life in Adults & Children
The meditative effects of a consistent yoga practice can help to gain inner peace and tranquility. Yoga can improve sleep quality, enhance spiritual well-being, improve social function and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, helping to live a happier life.
